Pixel Vistas Development Roadmap
We hope to have a Mac version of our EasySharp sharpening plug-in available sometime in the first half of 2008. Minor improvements, including a resizable window, will also be included in this release.
To PhotoLift customers who’ve requested a global version of this filter with live preview: we’ve heard you! Later in we intend to offer PhotoLift in this form; this will forgo the tool-based interface for a scriptable, global filter with real-time preview. Both options will hopefully be available in the single download.
The availability of these upgrades will be announced here on our news feed. Stay tuned! In the meantime, we wish you a creative and productive new year.
PhotoLift for Macintosh Now Available
Pixel Vistas is happy to announce the release of a Macintosh version of the PhotoLift plug-in for Adobe Photoshop. We recognize the prominent place Macintosh holds in the digital photography community, and this release brings the powerful detail-enhancing abilities of PhotoLift to Mac-using photographers.
The plug-in is available for download immediately at www.pixelvistas.com/downloads.html, and requires an Intel-based Mac running Photoshop CS3.
PhotoLift 2.0 Available Now
Pixel Vistas are pleased to announce the release of PhotoLift 2.0 for Adobe Photoshop. We’ve created an entirely new interface for the plug-in, which now provides paintbrush-style interaction for selective editing of the image. The loading time for the plug-in is greatly improved – it now loads in a matter of seconds for typical DSLR images. Finally, new in this release is a “texture” control which provides a range of textural appearances.
PhotoLift 2.0 retails for US$40, and is available to download right now.
If you are a previous PhotoLift customer, you’re eligible for a free upgrade to the new version. Please email Pixel Vistas with your full name to obtain a new serial number.
PhotoLift 2.0 Due Soon
Pixel Vistas have been hard at work on a major upgrade to PhotoLift, our most popular product. The new version makes significant improvements to the speed of the plug-in and entirely overhauls the user interface. Familiar brush and fill tools will be featured, allowing the PhotoLift effect to be selectively applied to an image in the same way as many other Photoshop effects. A screenshot of a beta version of the new plug-in is shown below.
The new version is due some time before year’s end; current users can look forward to a free upgrade.
